For devices running iOS 11, or higher, that are already in DEP:

1) in Securly, move the device into the iOs DEP Unassigned group.

2) Log into Apple School Manager and Unassign the device.

3) On the iPad, go to Settings --> General --> Reset and select Erase all Content and Settings.

6) When the device is back to the “Hello” screen, begin the setup process by selecting Language and Country. Choose Set Up Manually and you will need to connect the device to wifi. Once the wifi connection is established, the iPad will activate itself and then you will see a message saying the Florida Conference will configure the device. Select Next and the management configuration profile will install. If prompted, choose Enable Location Services.

7) in JAMF School, look for the newly added device under Devices --> DEP. It should have a status of Profile assigned. Filter this selection if needed.

8) Manually add the device to the All Device – iBoss Connector group. This must be done before adding the device to a school, or class, group.

9) Add the device to the appropriate school/class group*. This will add its iBoss filtering configuration, apps and device restrictions.

* We are using dynamic groups, so to add a device to a school/device group you will need only to change the name of the iPad to include the school code (npr for New Port Richey)

For devices running iOS 11, or higher that are not in DEP:

1) Prepare the device using Apple Configurator 2 with the following options:
Manual Configuration/Add to DEP/Do not Activate and complete enrollment
Enroll in MDM Sever JAMF School
Assign to organization Florida Conference Office of Education (or FLEC)
       Show Location Services step

2) In Apple School Manager, under Assignment History, you should see that a device has been Added by Apple Configurator 2. You can select download to download the device’s serial number for the next step.

For devices running iOS 10 or lower:

Manual Configuration/do not Add to DEP
        Do no enroll MDM

3) Using Apple Configurator 2, apply the site’s wifi profile to the iPad(s), followed by the management profile that was downloaded. This can also be done using a blueprint.

4) The iPads will now appear in the devices list in JAMF and can be added to appropriate groups. Please not that iPads with iOS 9.3.5 can not use the Gen 4 iBoss connector. You will need to manually add these to the iBoss Connector for 9.3.5 group prior to changing the device name and adding to a group.
