Using SchoolTube vs. YouTube has two main advantages. First, it is not affected by our content filtering program. Second, it shows only the video you want your students to see, without the other suggested videos that you see on YouTube.

These instructions will show how to set up a SchoolTube account. You can skip down to the bold printed sentence if you already have an account set up.

Go to schooltube.com in a browser and select Login/Sign Up, then choose Login.

Then choose Sign Up if you do not already have an account.

Find your school.

Fill in the remainder of the signup form and click Sign Up. You will receive an email to finish activating your account.

Once you are logged into your account, select add new, then Youtube

Copy the address of a Youtube video you wish to share and paste it into the box, then hit enter on your keyboard.

When your video has been added, click on Save at the bottom of your screen.

At the top of your screen, click on your username and select My Media.

Check the box to the left of the video you wish to share, click Actions at the top right of your screen and select Publish.

Click Save and you should see this message at the top of your screen.

Go back to My Media.

Click on the video you wish to share. This will open it in SchoolTube.

Select Share underneath the video.

Share the link here to your students.
