How Classlink Rostering Works

Created by Mel Wade, Modified on Mon, Sep 9 at 7:40 AM by Mel Wade

  • ClassLink takes the information from FACTS SIS and automatically creates accounts for students and teachers who have UDID numbers.
  • ClassLink then takes the Rosters from FACTS SIS and automatically connects them to the various web services based on the rules that we set up.
  • Students and teachers log in to ClassLink once and then can jump to various web services without having to sign in another time.

How to add a student to a ClassLink Application

Add a student to the roster of a class on the left column and they are automatically added to the ClassLink Application in the right column the next day. This gives the schools control over who has access to programs.

Notes:

  • Students must have a NAD ID number entered in their UDID field in FACTS SIS.
  • Students must have 1 or 2 Custody parents assigned in the family relationship table.
  • Usernames are the Email Address listed in FACTS SIS. Badge logins for students do not use usernames.
  • Updates happen every night. If you add/change/delete a record today, the changes will be in Clever and the apps tomorrow.
