This article shows how to create a channel in Microsoft Teams and connect it to a class channel in Microsoft Teams. This is advantageous in that any video put into the channel in Stream will be automatically available to your class in Teams.
Navigate to the Microsoft Login on flcoe.org, log in and select Microsoft Stream.
Select My Content, then choose Channels.
Select Create New Channel and Give your channel a name to match the class that it is intended for.
Now, search for your class in the Select group box, choose the class, and select Create.
You will now have a channel to put videos for the class.
Navigate back to Videos tab in Stream.
Find a saved video to share with your class and select the Add to group/channel button.
Select Channels in the drop-down box, then search for the channel you want to share the video with.
Click the Owner Box, then save.
Go back to the Channels Tab, select the ellipses in the bottom right of the channel and select Share. Copy the share link.
Now, go back to Teams.
In Microsoft Teams
Navigate to the class to share this video(s) with and click the + sign at the right of the menu bar.
Select the Stream app, then paste the link you copied into the space provided.
When you paste the link, you will see the Stream Channel you created. Select it.
Give your tab a name and select Save.
Now you have a videos tab.
This is a one-time set up process that will need to be repeated for each class you have in Teams
Going forward, any video put into this channel in Stream will appear on this tab in Teams.
