Windows Setup

ITEMS NEEDED: USB Thumb Drive 8GB or larger. Recommend USB-C Duo Drive – Example


Note: This process will erase all information on the computer. Be sure that all files are backed up prior to beginning this process.


  • Prepare Thumb Drive: Download and use the tool to “Create Windows 10 Installation Media.” Note that this will erase all information on the thumb drive. Be sure to install the 64-bit option. This should be the default.
  • Boot to the Thumb Drive. 


Select Next



Select Install now.



Select I don't have a product key



Select Windows 10 Pro. This will be automatically upgraded to Windows 10 Enterprise after setup is complete.



Accept the license terms.



Select Custom.


Delete ALL Partitions until you only have Unallocated Space. Then click Next.


Windows will take a while to complete the next step of the installation and then reboot.



Once your computer restarts you can remove the thumb drive.


Select United States.



Select US keyboard layout.


Select Skip.



Connect your device to wifi.



Select "No" to You you want your device to be discoverable question.


Select Setup for an organization.



Enter the username provided by the Florida Conference Office of Education for computer setup.



Select No



Select Accept.



Select No (this question may come earlier) 



Right click on the Windows icon in the bottom left corner and select System.



Scroll down and select Rename this PC. Note that the system will now be running Windows 10 Enterprise.


Rename the PC beginning with your school code. Create a support ticket if you need assistance with the correct naming convention.



Your computer will restart and your computer setup is complete. 


Important: Please leave the computer powered on for while to be sure all software has time to download and install. Software installed include the following:


  • Microsoft Office Apps
  • Chrome browser
  • NWEA Secure Testing Browser
  • TeamViewer
  • Printix
  • iBoss agent - you won't see this except in Task Manager as ibsaService
